Sir, – There has been justified and understandable outrage at customers having to pay over €2 a litre for petrol. Yet people are willing to pay €8.10 for a pint of alcohol in Temple Bar in Dublin on Saint Patrick’s Day. This is equivalent to paying €14.26 a litre. It seems people’s priorities are clear. – Yours, etc,
