Sir, – Why not make it a condition of planning that one native species of tree has to be planted on-site for each bedroom for which planning permission is granted?
It would be a cheap, effective and aesthetically pleasing means of helping Ireland towards carbon neutrality.
Build one, plant one tree . . .
