The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir, – Patsy McGarry complains that some TV advertisements get under his skin and that agencies could do better (In a word, July 27th). His article is printed directly below a much-used advertisement for The Irish Times displaying two full bottles of milk and a copy of The Irish Times on a doorstep with the slogan: “Freshly printed and delivered daily”.

I can vouch for the truth of the statement as regards your newspaper, but I can’t remember when two bottles of milk were last delivered to my doorstep. In fact, I can’t remember when I last saw a bottle of milk. McGarry is right. Agencies could do better. – Yours, etc,

LOUIS O’FLAHERTY,

Santry,
