Ireland's Robbie Brady lost two teeth when he clashed with Gary O'Neil during Norwich City's 2-1 loss to Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Left-back Brady was forced off after the sickening collision with his Canaries team-mate, and his club are yet to reveal the full extent of the damage caused.

Alex Neil's side were dragged further into the relegation mire as goals from Kenedy and Diego Costa secured all three points for the champions at Carrow Road.

There was further concern for Ireland manager Martin O’Neill as John O’Shea limped off with a calf injury during the first half of Sunderland’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile Shane Long, who had recovered from a hamstring injury to start the match, was removed after picking up a knock during Southampton's 2-0 loss to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter left the Dean Court pitch moments later with an achilles problem.

It was an eventful night on the south coast, with fourth official Kevin Friend spending the night in hospital after collapsing in the dugout and hitting his head.
