This is one Waterford player who did not think he would be on the plane to Rio as Harrington’s sidekick. While Power has yet to become a household name, he has been making progress in his short time as a professional. A graduate of East Tennessee State University, where he won a number of accolades, he turned professional in 2011 and currently sits around the 280 mark in the world rankings. In May, he won his first Web.com Tour event, becoming the first Irish winner on that tour with a record score of 12 under and pocketing $108,000.
