Grace Boland has been elected for Fine Gael in the three-seat constituency of Fingal West.
A lawyer from north Co Dublin, she has a background steeped in politics in the area.
Her late father, John Boland, was a Fine Gael TD and served as Minister for Health, Minister for the Environment, Minister for the Public Service and Minister for Education. He also served as a Senator prior to being elected to the Dail.
Her uncle and godfather, Cathal Boland is a long-time councillor in Fingal, although in the general election he was involved in the campaign to elect independent Tony Murphy.
