Sir, – Might I respectfully suggest that the front-page headline in Saturday's Irish Times "Revenue will not challenge home valuations" (News, October 2nd) could perhaps have been extended to include "not until you die, that is". – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Is your front-page article with regard to Revenue accepting incorrect home valuations a little bit misleading? Is it not the case that valuations would be revisited if and when a property is sold, at which stage any shortfall would be recovered by Revenue. Needless to say if you overpay, the relevant Minister for Finance will hand-deliver a refund coinciding with the flying pigs! – Yours, etc,
