Planning for Irish unity

A chara, – Fintan O'Toole's concern about the lack of preparation for Irish unity ("Making a good exit from UK paramount for Ireland", Opinion & Analysis, August 13th) presumably means he supports Sinn Féin's call on the Government to begin planning for future constitutional change without delay, including the convening an all-Ireland forum on Irish unity to plan for transition and unification, as well the preparation of a White Paper on Irish unity?

Saying we need to be prepared for Irish unity is one thing, but there is now an imperative to ensure that is followed through with concrete actions. – Is mise,
