Sir, – Reading “Two who left hotel quarantine returned to facility, search for third continues” (News, March 27th), I learn that gardaí were expected to search for these escapees with no passport details, no photographs and no ID to work from. Such an example, however, does help my friends living in Germany understand why we are living under one of the longest and harshest lockdowns in the world. – Yours, etc,
