EV charging infrastructure in Ireland is a joke

A seven-hour trip from Dalkey to Roundstone

The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir, - All the warnings I had heard about charging infrastructure in Ireland turned out to be true yesterday on a journey from Dalkey to Roundstone in my new EV. Two out-of-order fast chargers and a queue meant I arrived seven hours after setting off.

What an unfortunate joke the situation is. Governments past and present should hang their heads in shame. On the plus side I did meet some lovely people equally frustrated by the situation! - Yours, etc,

ATHENE KEATINGE,

Dalkey,

Co Dublin.
