Sir, – The American Chamber of Commerce has indicated that Ireland should sign up to the 15 per cent corporate tax rate proposed by the OECD.
The corporate world has obviously got the message that Ireland will continue to facilitate their tax avoidance strategies irrespective of this rate.
Abbott’s recent use of a version of the “Irish Malt”, which was supposedly discontinued two years ago, shows that we continue to operate as a tax haven despite political denials.
