As more than 40,000 nurses and midwives prepare for a series of strikes over pay, The Irish Times would like to hear their views.

What has been your experience of working in the Irish health service? Why do you think strike action is necessary? What could be done to address recruitment and retention difficulties in the Irish health service, or to attract emigrant nurses home from abroad? If you are a patient or other healthcare worker (i.e. other than a nurse), are you affected by the strikes? Do you support the strike action?

You can share your views and experiences (max 200 words) using this form, attaching a photograph of yourself too if you have one. (If you are reading this in the Irish Times app you can access the form here.)

A selection of responses may be published online and/or in print as part of our reporting.
