Man arrested in connection with fatal Kilkenny assault

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a fatal assault in Kilkenny on Tuesday.

Gardaí discovered a man with serious injuries on Hebron Road, Kilkenny at around 12.45pm on Tuesday afternoon.

The man, who was in his 40s, was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital, where he has since died.

A man has been arrested in relation to the incident. He is expected to appear before a sitting of Carlow District Court on Thursday morning, at around 10.30am.
