) is returning to bricks and mortar retail with the opening of a boutique in the RHA Gallery, 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2. The shop, which started out on Camden Street shuttered in 2011 to go online. The new store will feature covetable tableware like this Menu, bottle grinder, for salt, pepper or your favourite spice. The design comes in four tonal colours, is made of plastic and wood, and has a ceramic grinding mechanism. Síoda is a silk textile exhibition featuring the works of landscape artist Fiona Higgins, who works in batik, and silk designer Karen O’Kane who uses a a cold resist technique to make a range of bold and vibrant paintings which are then shaped into lampshades, floor lights and all things illuminated.

Her work has a Japanese quality and has been such a hit that An Grianán Theatre (074 9120777, angrianan.com), Port Road, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, where the exhibition is showing, light the lamps for every show and are in talks with O'Kane's company Koko Designs (086 319 1514, kokodesigns.ie) to order some to add to the ambiance of their live theatre. The floor light, 135cm tall, pictured, costs €300. Lamp shades start from €25 for a design that measures 15cm by 19cm. The exhibition runs until June 27th.
