Matt Walker’s hit-rate as Julio Bashmore is something to behold.

Be it the Bristol producer's own dancefloor- dominating Battle for Middle You from a few years ago, or his production work for Jessie Ware, Walker's ability when it comes to melodic, classic house shapes has served him very well.

Similar sculpting dominates his debut album, with track after track showing woozy, hazy appreciation for house’s glow.

Like Disclosure's Settle, there are copious pop hooks – Let Me Be Your Weakness, for instance.

Guest collaborators such as J'Danna (Simple Love), Sam Dew (giving the sublime Holding On a soul lift) and Okmalumkoolkat (Umuntu) help the flow.

The real treats come when Walker seeks to futureproof the classic house sounds he hears in his head.
