Twenty-something Co Meath twins, Ryan and Scott Fitzsimons have hit the jackpot playing Minecraft on their massively popular YouTube channel.

New accounts for the twins' Minecraft YouTube Irish company show that they have paid themselves €4.1 million over the past two years as a result of the success of their YouTube LittleLizard & Tinyturtle Adventure channel.

The two “Minecraft millionaires” only uploaded their first Minecraft video in June 2012. Today their Littlelizard & Tinyturtle Adventure channel boasts 3.256 million subscribers and has been viewed a staggering 1.9 billion times.

New accounts filed by the Fitzsimons' Co Meath based Little Lizard Ltd show that the two last year shared a pay-pot of €2.215 million – or €1.1 million each.

The Fitzsimons make most of their income from advertising on their channel and direct payments from YouTube based on the number of views of their videos.

The rapid growth in popularity of the Fitzsimons’ channel shows no sign of slowing down. They have added 380,000 new subscribers this year to date.
