UCD and Bray take a point apiece from goalless Belfield stalemate

Small attendance left with little reason to cheer

UCD 0 Bray Wanderers 0 Neither UCD nor Bray Wanderers showed sufficient quality to win this disappointing Premier Division encounter in Belfield Bowl last night.

The hosts enjoyed the first couple of chances with Samir Belhout firing wide in the eighth minute while Michael Barker volleyed narrowly wide of the upright from Chris Mulhall’s delivery.

Bray almost grabbed a surprise lead in the 34th minute as the lively David Cassidy hammered a half-volley inches wide of Conor O’Donnell’s right-hand upright.

UCD’s Hugh Douglas and Bray’s Adam Hanlon both should have done better when presented with aerial chances in the third quarter.
