Valencia coasted into the last 16 as they thrashed Rapid Vienna 4-0 to complete a 10-0 aggregate triumph.

Gary Neville’s side produced a second-half goal spree at the Ernst-Happel Stadion, where Rodrigo (59), Sofiane Feghouli (64), Pablo Piatti (72) and Ruben Vezo (88) were all on target.

This makes it four wins in a row, in all competitions for the former Manchester United right back, after a nightmare start to his tenure in Spain.

Basle's Luca Zuffi scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner to snatch a 2-1 victory over St Etienne at Saint Jakob Park and send the Swiss side into the last 16 of the Europa League on away goals after the tie finished 4-4.

Zuffi earlier scored a free-kick to level the tie at 3-3, before both sides were reduced to 10 men following red cards for St Etienne midfielder Valentin Eysseric and Basle attacker Breel Embolo.

The French side thought they had won it when captain Moustapha Sall netted with just a minute left, only for Zuffi to crash the ball home in added time.

Borussia Dortmund took their place in the last 16 after beating Porto 1-0 at the Estadio do Dragao.

The Bundesliga club were 2-0 up from the first leg and put the tie beyond doubt after 23 minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s shot hit the crossbar and went in off goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Serie A title chasers Napoli, though, went out after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Villarreal.

Marek Hamsik (17) cancelled out Villarreal’s 1-0 first-leg lead, but a fortuitous equaliser from Tomas Pina (59) just before the hour proved enough to see the Spanish side through.

Molde beat holders Sevilla 1-0 with a first-half goal from Eirik Hesta (43), but went out 3-1 on aggregate following their comprehensive first-leg defeat in Spain.

Frank Acheampong scored twice in extra-time as Anderlecht won 2-1 away at Olympiacos to go through 3-1 overall.

Kostas Fortounis (29) pulled the Greeks level in the tie when he converted a penalty.

Acheampong scored from a tight angle to put the Belgians ahead on 103 minutes and the Ghana forward made sure of a place in the last 16 with another neat finish midway through the second period of extra-time.

Karim Bellarabi scored twice as Bayer Leverkusen beat Sporting Lisbon 3-1 at the BayArena to complete a 4-1 aggregate triumph.

Fenerbahce drew 1-1 at Lokomotiv Moscow to go through 3-1 on aggregate.

Veteran German forward Miroslav Klose finally scored his first goal of the season as Lazio dumped Galatasaray out with a 3-1 home win to progress 4-2 on aggregate.

Czech side Sparta Prague went into the last 16 after beating Krasnodar 3-0 away, 4-0 over the two legs.

A late goal from substitute Sabin Merino saw Athletic Bilbao secure a 2-1 aggregate victory over Marseille following a 1-1 draw at San Mames, while Shakhtar Donetsk won 3-0 at Schalke after a goalless first leg.
