Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will miss his third successive match as he has still not recovered from a hip injury to face West Brom.

The English striker has already missed much of the season with a thigh complaint picked up on international duty in September forcing him to seek treatment in the US.

Defender Mamadou Sakho (thigh) and midfielder Lucas Leiva (thigh) are also ruled out of the trip but winger Jordon Ibe returns after being ineligible for last weekend's FA Cup semi-final.

Sakho's abscence means that Dejan Lovren is likely to resume in the centre of defence.

Midfielder Adam Lallana (groin) and long-time absentee Jon Flanagan (knee) have returned to training but both are doubtful.

Mario Balotelli and Steven Gerrard are both in the provisional matchday squad and likely to feature.
