Shelbourne 0 Bohemians 1: Kevin Devaney was Bohemians’ match winner for the second time this season as Shelbourne once again had a player sent off.

The win lifts Aaron Callaghan’s Gypsies into the top half of the table to leave Shelbourne looking in real trouble second from bottom with just one point from five games.

Both keen to atone for heavy defeats last Friday, the game started at a frantic pace with Bohemians ahead after five minutes for what proved the game’s only goal.

Shelbourne didn’t deal with Stephen Traynor’s second corner of the night as Roberto Lopes miskicked in front of goal. The ball broke kindly for Devaney 20 yards out and the winger drilled his shot to the bottom right-hand corner of Niall Burdon’s net.
