Ulster hooker Rob Herring could miss next weekend's Pro12 semi final having been cited for an alleged stamp during last Friday night's defeat to Glasgow Warriors.

Ulster lost their last game ahead of the tournament’s knockout stages away to the Scottish side, and they now face the same opposition in the same venue next Friday night. This time though with a place in the Pro12 final at stake.

Herring played the full 80 minutes of Friday’s encounter against their table-topping opposition. He was on Tuesday morning cited by an independent citing commissioner.

The hearing will be before an independent PRO12 Rugby Disciplinary Panel in Cardiff tomorrow, Wednesday May 20th. The law in question is ‘10.4 (b) A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.’
