Referees named for Heineken Cup quarter-finals

Irish provinces learn officials for their matches in the knockout stage

Welsh referee Nigel Owens will take charge of Munster's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Toulouse at Thomond Park, the tournament organisers confirmed this afternoon.

Remarkably, although the teams have met each other previously in the knockout stages the match on Saturday, April 5th will be the first time Toulouse play in the Limerick citadel.

Jerome Garces will run the rule over Ulster's home tie with Saracens later on the same day while Sunday's showdown between defending champions Toulon and 2012 winners Leinster will see Wayne Barnes as the man in the middle.

In the other quarter-final, between Clermont and Leicester, Alain Rolland will lead an all-Irish team of officials at the Stade Marcel-Michelin
