Mickey Harte has changed half of the Tyrone team after last weekend's horror show in Killarney and the 15-poin t defeat by Kerry. Of the seven changes Darren McCurry is unavailable because of the eagerly awaited Ulster under-21 quarter-final against champions Cavan next Wednesday.
Into the team come Aidan McCrory, Ryan McKenna, Ciarán McGinley, Conan Grugan, Conor McAliskey, Kyle Coney and Mark Donnelly - the latter two making a first start in the current league.
Barry Tierney, persecuted last week by Kerry’s James O’Donoghue, PJ Quinn, Ronan McNabb, Emmett McKenna, Ronan O’Neill and Patrick McNeice all revert to the bench.
Matthew Donnelly, who was an injury doubt during the week, is passed to play but starts at centre back after a campaign mostly impressing at full forward.
Holders Dublin have rested their under-21 players before the Leinster semi-finals next week for the trip to Derry. Jack McCaffrey's and Cormac Costello's places go to Darren Daly and Eoghan O'Gara. Ciarán Kilkenny, who injured his cruciate last week and who will miss the rest of the year, is replaced by Davy Byrne, who came on for him in the Kildare match.
Hurling league holders Kilkenny make wholesale changes with Brian Cody bringing in nine players after last week's defeat of Galway. The entire back four has been changed and of the entire defence only Lester Ryan retains his place, at centre back. Cillian Buckley moves from wing back to centrefield.
Colin Fennelly, who hit three goals against Tipperary, is back at centre forward and Aidan Fogarty is named in the corner. Henry Shefflin is included on the bench.
Dublin make one change from the team that lost to Waterford, bringing in All Star Danny Sutcliffe in place of Mark Schutte.
Waterford’s Michael Walsh, who was sent off in that match, was unsuccessful in his hearing before CHC and has received a one-match suspension.
