Alan Kirby faces a late fitness test ahead of this evening's FAI Cup semi-final replay at United Park; but the Longford manager said yesterday he expected the right-sided midfielder to be available for the game.

If Kirby overcomes the knee problem he picked up in Sunday's scoreless draw between the sides, the visitors will be at full strength for this second game, the winners of which will go on to meet Waterford United in the competition's final on 24th this month.

Paul Doolin, meanwhile, is also close to having a full strength panel as he looks to guide United to their first home win over Longford since he took over at United Park.

Gary Cronin is a doubt with an ankle injury sustained in Sunday's encounter at Flancare Park, but Doolin is hopeful that he'll come through a pre-match fitness test and feature in the game.

Gavin Whelan , however, who missed the initial meeting between the two sides with a groin strain, is again a major doubt for tonight's replay which is to be broadcast live on RTÉ television.
