Sir, – There has been much talk recently about which items may be put in green bins. I, for one, find myself even more confused. May I make a simple suggestion?
Every item we buy nowadays is labelled. Could producers not put some small symbol on their label to indicate that the packaging is suitable for the green bin? If this symbol did not appear on the label, then there would be no further thinking or worrying – that packaging would go into the black refuse bin. – Yours, etc,
