Obama’s warning

A chara, – During his hard-hitting interview with a member of the English royal family, Barack Obama criticised the social media keyboard-warrior brigade and said it was more difficult to be "obnoxious and cruel" to someone if you were actually looking that person in the eye ("Obama warns against divisive nature of social media", December 28th).

Mr Obama would surely know, bearing in mind the 542 drone strikes he launched from the safety of the White House, that, according to figures from the Council on Foreign Relations, took an estimated 3,797 lives, including at least 342 civilian lives,

As he admitted to senior aides in 2011: “Turns out I’m really good at killing people. Didn’t know that was gonna be a strong suit of mine.”
