Sir, – I recently arrived at the Leopardstown Driving Licence Centre in Dublin to renew my licence.
I arrived at 8.30am to be early in the queue. It was already 60-deep. The office opened at 9am. By 9.30am arrivals had over a six-hour wait. There were six cubicles (only five of which were staffed) and about 24 seats. Most people had to stand, including a large number of elderly people. The system is not fit for purpose. A major change is urgently needed. – Yours, etc,
J BERNARD WALSH,
