Gordon Elliott’s apology

Sir, – Gordon Elliott sits on a dead horse and the world goes mad. His critics are outraged at his lack of respect for the dead animal ("Trainer apologises over image of him posing on top of dead horse", Sport, February 28th).

How much respect do his critics show for a dead animal when they chew their roast beef for Sunday lunch? The world is mad, and grossly unfair to Gordon Elliott. – Yours, etc,
