Feathered friends

Sir, – I enjoyed the article by the lady who has befriended two robins in her garden (Áine Ryan, "Solitary souls are not necessarily from one age cohort", Health + Family, February 11th).

I have had the same experience.

Two robins and two wagtails call every day, and they wait patiently while I throw out some crumbs.

I live by the sea and rarely see small birds. It’s such a joy in these awful times. – Yours, etc,
