Sir, – Greed knows no bounds during this pandemic.
We have seen a rise in cross-trading. Now greengrocers are selling coffee, convenience stores are selling alcohol, while restaurants and cafes add alcohol to their takeaway options.
Coffee shops in shipping containers are popping up everywhere without planning permission. Society is breaking down, further and further.
Thirty years ago supermarkets started selling newspapers. Petrol stations started selling everything from papers to food. We no longer have as many newsagents, butcher shops or post offices.

Many more speciality outlets will close. The demise of these shops is the demise of all shops.
