Sir, – I am writing with regard to the wonderful article on surgeon John Reynolds by Sheila Wayman (“Treating oesophageal cancer: ‘The service delivered here is on par with the best in the world’”, Health, October 6th).
He is a brilliant man surrounded by a great team at St James’s Hospital.
I experienced their expertise following a diagnosis of oesophageal cancer two years ago. I am now back to 95 per cent of my previous self, playing bad golf and have even joined a gym/pool.
Prof Reynolds, Claire Donohoe, Jesse Elliott and the team are superstars in their field. – Yours, etc,
