Sir, – I had a similar experience to that of your reader Frank J Byrne at the boarding gate at Dublin Airport (Letters, June 22nd). As I approached, Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary was in attendance. I was in good spirits. I handed him my passport and added: “Michael, we share the same name.” his response was instant: “That is all we share. I am younger and better looking.” Considering I am in my 80s, perhaps a soft target. – Yours, etc,
