Brexit not the only thing Daniel Hannan got ‘not even wrong’

His lordship was also wide of the mark about Covid

Sir, – Daniel Hannan’s predictions for post-Brexit prosperity in the UK have proven so wide of the mark that they were “not even wrong,” according to Fintan O’Toole (June 23rd). Hannan has a track record. He famously tweeted (pre-X) in February 2020 that, “The coronavirus isn’t going to kill you. It really isn’t.”

Tragically, for 227,000 people in the UK, that statement was also incorrect. Awarded a life peerage in 2021, Lord Hannan of Kingsclere is now free to exercise his judgment to advise upon, scrutinise, and shape national legislation. – Yours etc.
