Sir, – Your editorial “Election counts an unnecessary endurance test,” (May 28th) was so unwelcome to this writer.
As someone who has contested eight local elections and campaigned in dozens of general, European and presidential elections I love the spectacle and inclusiveness of the paper count.
So please: no to electronic voting and no to electronic counting. Be proud of our transparent and informative system. Change lots of other things but not this. – Yours, etc,
