Sir, – A letter writer (May 20th) objects to Ryanair’s response of “slashing prices to keep the wealthy few flying”.

May I suggest “the wealthy few” are not to be found flying Ryanair. They may prefer the comforts of travelling first- or business-class, neither option being available with Ryanair. – Yours, etc,
