I asked the waitress how it was cooked and what was served with it

Letter of the Day

Sir, – On holiday in the west of Ireland some time ago we settled on a seafood restaurant for our evening meal.

A sign on a blackboard indicated that lemon sole was the fish of the day. I asked the waitress how it was cooked and what was served with it.

She replied: “I don’t know, I don’t eat fish.” – Yours, etc,

URSULA GAVIN,

Terenure,
