Staff at the Dublin Airport Authority are set to stage a series of work stoppages at the start of next month as part of a dispute over pensions.
Siptu yesterday served notice on the Dublin Airport Authority, which operates airports at Dublin, Cork and Shannon. It said in the absence of “meaningful initiatives” on management’s part to progress the negotiations, industrial action would start on October 1st.
A spokesman for the DAA said the company was disappointed. “It is unwarranted as we are currently in a conciliation process in relation to the pensions issue under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission.”
The LRC has adjourned the talks to allow it to try to formulate a resolution to the dispute.
