A juror has been released from service in the trial of three Englishmen charged in connection with a €440 million cocaine seizure in West Cork last year.

This morning at Cork Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Sean O Donnabhain told the jury that a personal matter had arisen for one of the jurors and he was releasing the woman from jury service.

Judge O Donnabhain thanked the juror for her service over the past seven weeks and said that the case would now continue before eleven jurors - nine men and two women.

Three Englishmen Martin Wanden, Joe Daly and Perry Wharrie each face a total of three charges relating to the drugs seizure at Dunlough Bay, Mizen Head on July 2nd, 2007.

Mr Wanden of no fixed abode, Mr Daly from Carrisbrooke Avenue, Bexley, Kent and Mr Wharrie from Pyrles Lane, Loughton, Essex deny each of the three charges.
