Search continues for missing Dublin pensioner

The search is continuing for a 65-year-old woman who went missing after she left her Dublin home for a walk with her dog on Tuesday morning.

Margaret (Peggy) Mangan left the Mount Tallant Avenue area of Terenure with her Cavalier King Charles spaniel at about 11.00am.

Ms Mangan, who has Alzheimer's, was seen an hour later on Clanbrassil Street and again on the other side of the city in Glasnevin at about 3pm.

There was also a possible sighting of her near the M50 Finglas junction at about 5.30pm but nothing since.

CCTV footage of the missing woman was released by gardaí, showing her walking towards the city on the Phibsboro Road at Hart’s Corner on Tuesday.

Ms Mangan is 1.57m (5’2”) tall, of very slim build. She was wearing black trousers and a white coat when she left home.
