Raging fire engulfs Towers Pub in Dublin’s Ballymun

Fire crews tackling blaze at former venue which featured on crime drama Love/Hate

A large fire at a former pub in Ballymun has been attended to by four units of Dublin Fire Brigade.

A spokesman confirmed a number of fire crews were tackling the blaze at the former Towers Pub, which featured in episodes of the RTÉ crime drama, Love/Hate.

No one was hurt in the blaze, about which the fire brigade was alerted at about 10.30pm, said the spokesman.

Videos posts on social media showed a substantial fire engulfing the premises, which are located in the Ballymun Shopping Centre.

The spokesman said the fire was being brought under control, though one of the walls of the pub was unsafe.
