A 20-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a number of criminal incidents which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The incidents which took place in Edenderry Co Offaly included damaged windows at Edenderry Garda station and damage at a filling station on Tullamore Road.

Gardaí believe the man also caused damage to a Community School in Edenderry in which he started a small fire.

The man was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tullamore Garda Station.
