Man arrested after cannabis plants seized in Carlow

Second man taken to hospital with chest injuries after search of a house in Barrowvale

A man in his 40s has been arrested after gardaí discovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of € 80,000 during a search of a house at Barrowvale in Carlow town.

A second man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital with chest injuries.

The arrested man is being held at Carlow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and will appear at Carlow District Court later this morning.
