Gardaí release man arrested over Kane McCormack killing

Victim’s death in Dublin in December 2017 believed to be linked to Hutch-Kinahan feud

A man arrested in connection with a killing gardaí suspect is linked to the Hutch-Kinahan feud has been released.

The man, who is in his 40s, was detained for questioning at Ashbourne Garda station on Wednesday over the killing of Kane McCormack in December 2017.

McCormack's body was found dumped in a field in Co Meath 12 months after his father Noel Kirwan was shot dead.

Gardaí said a file would be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man’s arrest was the second in relation to the investigation. To date, nobody has been charged in connection with the killing.
