Gardaí appeal for information following Dublin assault

Gardaí at Mountjoy in Dublin have renewed their appeal for information following an alleged assault on Friday.

At about 4.15am on Friday morning, a 24-year-old man was discovered unconscious at Clonliffe Avenue, Dublin 3.

He had suffered a number of injuries, including a head injury. Gardaí believe his injuries are consistent with an assault.

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he is currently being treated.

Gardaí believe the man may have got into a taxi in Phibsborough at about 2.45am. Investigating gardaí are appealing for any taxi drivers operating in the area on the night in question to contact them.

They have also appealed for anyone who was in the Clonliffe Road area between 2am and 4am on Friday morning and who may have dash cam footage to get in touch.
