RTÉ and UPC Ireland have resolved their dispute over the proposals to include the broadcaster's stations on UPC's streaming service, the Commercial Court heard.
The dispute centred on plans by UPC to allow its subscribers to view television channels on portable devices outside the home. UPC already offers a streaming product within homes which includes RTÉ’s channels.
RTÉ had sought a High Court injunction that would affect UPC's launch of the new service and sought improved payments from UPC for its content rights.
Mr Justice Brian McGovern was told by senior counsel Aidan Redmond that mediation had resulted in a resolution of the matter and it could be struck out.
