La Base Pro Hydra Glow primer, Lancôme, €36.50, Debenhams. It's fairly pricey so I use sparingly but it gives a radiant glow to tired, dull skin under foundation. Great for more mature skin.

L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Gold Addiction lipstick in pink gold, €10.49, Boots. Brightens up pale Irish skin with a subtle peachy pink colour and is enriched with vitamin E and omega-3 oils to keep lips moist through the winter.

L'Oréal Steampod 2.0, €225. A bit clunky to use but for those of us with unruly mops of unmanageable hair, this steam-based styler is a godsend.

Zoella Sweet Inspirations body mist, €10, Superdrug. I feel like I'm down with the kids when I wear this scent by beauty and lifestyle blogger Zoella – its subtle, sweet, vanilla-based smell is inspired by the scent of macaroons apparently, and my nine-year-old daughter loves it too.
