Walk Killarney summer solstice walk
Midnight June 20th to 8am June 21st.

Spend the shortest night of the year walking through the stunning Killarney Valley in Killarney National Park by moonlight. The experience includes storytelling, heritage and music, as well as witnessing the midsummer sunrise at 5.17am before enjoying a full Irish breakfast.

Laois

Laois Walking Festival June 24th to July 25th.
The programme includes 15 walks, to cater for all types of walkers. They include: Slieve Margy eight-kilometre walk, through Wolfhill, situated over 250m (800ft) on Slieve Margy Ridge, on June 24th. This heavily forested route offers spectacular views of Slieve Margy and Swan area.

Ballyroan Slí na Sláinte seven kilometre walk, on June 26th. The circuit starts in the heart of Ballyroan village, then passes through quiet country roads, crossing over the rivers Gloreen, Foyle and Happy Valley with excellent views of the Slieve Blooms, Ballyroan village and the Cullenagh Mountains.

Brittas Lake Loop 10km walk, on June 29th. This walk covers a mix of minor roads, sandy roadways and forestry tracks deep into the Slieve Blooms, passing the Rickets Rocks waterfall. 057-8661900,  www.laoistourism.ie
