‘I like the idea of having a uniform’

NCAD graduate Aideen Gaynor met up with us this week to chat about her personal style. Working in fashion means often being overwhelmed with patterns and prints, and so sticking to a monochrome wardrobe can be light relief. Gaynor perfectly executes this chic look and shows us that black and white are not just for winter.

Tell us about your outfit I’m wearing a white shirt from Zara, black trousers from Topshop, black docs, my bag is from Cos and my sunglasses are from Camden market.

How would you describe your personal style? Mainly white shirts and black trousers, I like the idea of having a uniform so my whole wardrobe basically just consists of variations of the same thing. And always black docs.

What are you most looking forward to about this summer? I’m excited about the opening of Create in Brown Thomas where my degree collection will be on display for the month of July. I’m also going to New York this summer to spend time with my family over there. I might intern a little but overall I’m really just looking forward to taking it easy and exploring the city and the beaches, there’s always something new going on there.
