Man dies after getting into difficulty swimming in Dún Laoghaire

A man has died in Dublin after getting into difficulty while swimming on Sunday afternoon in Dún Laoghaire.

The Coast Guard responded to an emergency call at about 12.30pm and the man was rescued from the water.

He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
