A man in his 20s has died in a single vehicle crash in Co Meath.

The incident occurred at Boolies, Oldcastle, Co Meath in the early hours of this morning.

At about 2.20am, Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision. The sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The road is currently closed with local diversions in place. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been notified.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dashcam, and were in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
